Elaine Eloise Gormley loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on July 28, 2020, at the age of 94. Elaine was born on January 11, 1926 in Monument, Kansas and was daughter to Hallene and Frank Markham. Elaine married Wesley L. Gormley on August 4, 1951 in Denver, Colorado. They raised four wonderful children together: Shelley, Sandra, Wesley and David. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a full-time mission for the Church with Wesley in New Jersey from 1990-1992.

Elaine was known for her quick wit, infectious smile, contagious laughter, and her kind and compassionate spirit. Elaine had a passion for serving others. Her life and home were filled with love and you felt it the minute you stepped through the door. She was welcoming to all and you always left feeling like you were the most important person to her. She was the best hostess and made sure the cookie jar was always full.  Elaine always put her family first. She was our biggest supporter, cheerleader and confidante. Elaine was as close as you could get to the perfect daughter, twin, sister, wife, mother, grandma, friend and teacher.

Elaine left us with a legacy of love, laughter, service and beauty. We loved her with all our hearts, always have, always will.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin brother William Markham and granddaughter Emily McKee.

She is survived by her sister Francene Markham,  husband Wesley L. Gormley, daughters Shelley (Jim) Seilbach and Sandra (Duncan) McKee, sons Wesley T. Gormley and David (NiKol) Gormley, 26 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.  in the Burlington Cemetery.
