Helen Joyce Lorash was born in Rose Hill, Illinois on September 28, 1935, and went to be with her Lord on March 22, 2024, at the New Horizon Care Center in Lovell, Wyoming. She was 88 years old at the time of her death.
She married John E. Lorash in Cody, Wyoming on May 14, 1983. They were married for 40 years.
She is survived by her husband John E. Lorash; sons Lyle (Kathy) Sankey of Branson, Missouri and Ike (Roberta)Sankey of Sheridan, Wyoming; grandchildren Ryan (Russ) Driscoll of Joliet, Montana, Wade (Danielle) Sankey, and Sasha (Kirk) Nelson of Branson, Missouri; great-grandchildren Clyde and Ella Sankey; sister Mary Dehne of South Bend, Indiana; step-brother Larry Galyen of Delta, Colorado; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her mother Gaynell Galyen, dad Brady Galyen, sister Supporia Gillum, brother Keith Simmers, grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Huddleston, and her uncle Ed Huddleston.
She enjoyed bowling and watching her sons and grandchildren compete in rodeo and other sports. She loved watching the rodeos that her son Ike and grandson Wade put on. She also enjoyed seeing her great-grandchildren. She was very proud of both of her sons and all her grand and great grandchildren.
She was a very caring and loving person. She enjoyed the time that she spent at the New Horizon Care Center. They played cards, games, and she enjoyed bowling on Wii with Uncle Frank, and Terry.
She loved dancing with her husband, cooking, baking, and made the best coconut crème pie that her husband ever had.
During her life she lived in Illinois, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, and Wyoming. She worked at Gambles, the JC Penney’s Catalog Store in Cody, Wyoming until she retired in 2000, and she also worked at the Super 8 Motel in Powell, Wyoming.
