On Monday July 19, 2021, Arlene Lavon (Keller) Ross passed away at her home. She was born to the late Homer and Ella Keller September 16, 1933, in Ainsworth Nebraska. Arlene moved to Lovell, Wyoming with her family in 1938 graduating from Lovell High School in 1951.
Arlene is survived by her 3 sons and their wives. Steven (Anita), Michael (Cindy), and Chad (Melanee) and her best friend and sister, Lorece Doerr. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Arlene was an accomplished and admired dancer, performing and teaching as often as possible. She was also an avid sports fan. You would most certainly find her at a hometown game supporting and rooting for her team or watching her favorite pro-sports team on television.
She proudly belonged to several organizations and groups- The Lovell women’s club, The Red hat ladies and her bridge group, just to name a few. Her involvement with these groups created life-long relationships, a sense of purpose and great happiness.
Arlene was also the recipient for several awards- Citizen of the year Lovell 2000, Citizen of the year Tri- mountain view 2011-2012 and most recently Quite Disciple 04/17/2021. She was also recognized for 25 years of loyal and devoted service with the United States Forest Service.
Arlene retired from the United States Forest Service on January 1, 1994. She had strengths beyond belief, after a long day at the forest service she would head across the street to work another 4-6 hours at the Tru-value and when time permitted you might find her cleaning a few condos. Whatever she could do to support her boys, she did. If you asked her, she would say without hesitation that her proudest and most precious accomplishments were her 3 sons. She was very proud of them and boasted about them as often as one would listen.
Her passion for life was clear, illustrated through her boundless devotion to the church, her family and friends.
Arlene was a beacon of light and will forever be remembered for her kindness, compassion, love, and generosity.
Rest in peace sweet Angel.
