Beverly Becker Obituary

Beverly Virginia (Fink) Becker

Born February 18, 1943

Died December 27, 2023

Beverly was born and raised in Lovell, Wyoming. She graduated from Lovell High School and worked with her mother, Virginia Fink, at the Rose Bowl café. When working at the café she was introduced to her future husband Howard Becker while delivering milkshakes to her father Fred and his co-workers at the Great Western Sugar Factory. This delightful encounter led to Howard and Beverly eloping on April 3rd, 1964, at a not-so-secret wedding that the family all had a hand in celebrating.  Howard and Beverly lived in a little house in Frannie before moving out to their farm where they had their two daughters, Lorry and Coleen.

Beverly was a busy wife, mother, and farmer. In addition to helping on the farm and raising her daughters she was very active in the community.  Above her devotion to her family and community was her faith life at St. John’s Lutheran Church.  She used her activity as the local Avon Lady to provide companionship to those she visited.  She belonged to the Homemakers Club, Birthday Club, and Concerned Citizens at the local schools. She was a 4-H leader teaching horsemanship, embroidery, crocheting and crafts.  She also volunteered at the Lovell Kane Museum, the gift shop at the Horizon Care Center, and served many years on the Deaver-Frannie Cemetery District Board.

Beverly made friends with everyone she encountered both young and old. She had the kindest, unselfish heart.  Beverly was a creative soul. She found joy working with her hands, often making items for her friends and family. She crocheted all her grandbabies a special afghan and embroidered special items for others she loved. She was very involved in her most important role as grandmother and great-grandmother. She was extremely loved by all of us.

Beverly will be remembered for the affection she gave and strength she had, strength that no one can even comprehend.  In her last days she required little to keep her comfortable. She repeatedly told her family she loved them, and it was especially important to her that her grandchildren knew she loved them.  This was her last wish.

Beverly is survived by her daughters, Lorry (Carl) Christensen and Coleen (Robert) Wagner; 6 grandchildren, Cody (Heather) Wagner, Cassandra (Justin) Bloom, Paula Wagner, Zachary (Tessa) Christensen, Elliot (Jasmine) Christensen and Soni (Jordan) Brost; 12 Great Grandchildren, Aubbri, Davanni, Tavinn Wagner: Zane Tokarski: Leili, Ezra, Niam, Easley Christensen: Zoe, Jace Brost and Tabitha, William Bloom;  Brothers Stanley (Laura) Fink,Richard (Janice) Fink, Ralph (Deb) Fink; Sister Janice (Owen) Wantulok and many nieces and nephews. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Howard Becker and her parents Fred and Virginia Fink.
