Caryl Carleen Wagner Turner was born in Lovell, WY on January 4, 1940 to Carl and Luella Wagner, the second of four children. She passed away at New Horizons Care Center on August 10, 2021.
Caryl graduated from Lovell High School in 1958, and the following fall attended Central Business College in Denver, CO. She completed her studies there, and was employed by Stearns & Rogers as a secretary in Denver.
Caryl married Geoffrey M. Turner on December 2, 1966 in Denver CO. They lived in many different places in the United States where Geoff worked as an engineer in building power plants. They also owned a home in Willenhall, Staffordshire England where they spent a great deal of time there with family and many friends. They moved to Lovell in 1990 and built a home where they spent the remainder of their lives.
Caryl enjoyed traveling through her life, and was fortunate to see many places in the USA and abroad. She also volunteered for a season at the Visitor Information Center at the Chamber office, and many years at the NHCC bake sale. She also spent many years researching and documenting family history.
Caryl was preceded in death by her husband Geoff; parents, Carl and Luella Wagner; brothers-in-law, Ferrell Mangus, William Splan, and Douglas Turner; sister-in-law, Doreen Turner; and nephew, Michael Turner.
She is survived by sisters, Janice Mangus of Lovell and Elaine Splan or Las Vegas, NV; brother, Wayne (Tara) Wagner of Cody; nieces and nephews, Monica, Isabelle, and Catherine Turner, Carla McKinley, Bob (Keela) Mangus, Susan Splan, Shane (Mandy) Wagner, Jeremy Mangus, and Wes (Kaycie) and Harper Mangus.
Services will be held on August 17, 2021 at Haskell Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Lovell Cemetery.
