Charles (Charley) William Beal 71, passed away peacefully in Basin on August 18, 2021. Charles was born to Donna Irene Lookhart and Charles Clayton Beal on September 21, 1949.
Charley was born in Powell and spent his life in the Big Horn Basin. He met his wife Sydney Beal while attending the Lovell schools, but they weren’t married until March 12, 1997. Charlie graduated from Lovell High School in 1968 and then Attended Northwest College.
Charley served on the search and rescue and had many jobs within the Lovell community. He worked at The Sugar Beet Factory for many years and drove a truck for his friend Rainbow at Lovell Concrete. He then took a position as a daytime Custodian for Lovell High School where he worked until his retirement.
Charley loved being outdoors and spent much of his free time up in the Mountains camping, hunting or relaxing. Charley was a bareback rider in his youth and enjoyed attending the rodeo every time he had the opportunity.
Charley loved being a grandpa. He would often take his grandkids out for skittles and Bug juice and when they were older taught them about guns and hunting. His. Grandkids were one of the great joys of his life. He held a special place in the heart of his nephews who served oversees. He would often take the time to write to them and flew a flag for them while they were deployed.
Charley was preceded in death by his father Charles Clayton Beal, his wife Sydney (Mickelson) Beal, Brother-in-Laws Max Wainscott and David Gilstrap.
He is survived by his mother Donna Beal, Sister Nita (Scott) Backlund, Brothers Tim (Patricia) Beal, Dusty (Christie) Beal, Danny (Jenny) Beal, Stepson Skye (Mindy) Mickelson, Grandsons Jaccob (Elizabeth) Mickelson, Joseph (Tayler) Mickelson, Cardon Mickelson, Granddaughters Temperance Mickelson and Kathryn Mickelson. He is survived by many Nieces, Nephews, and friends.
A viewing will be held prior to the funeral at 9:00 am. Services will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 10:00 am at the Lovell Wyoming Stake Center. Burial will be in the Lovell Cemetery.
