Darla Janet Saam
12-6-1936 – 1-22-2023
Darla moved to Shell WY with her husband Richard in 2003. She was a beautiful addition to the small community that she enjoyed so much. She was active in many things around the close-knit community of Shell like the Water Board, Shell Hall Board and Eastern Star to name a few. Darla and Richard enjoyed date nights with friends to the movies in Lovell, dinners in Greybull, or just drinks with friends. The only thing she complained about was the cold in the winter.
She will be missed by many.
She sold her home in 2021 and moved in with her daughter Terri Miller in Merced, CA until her Daughter Debra Watson's home was built in Baytown TX in March of 2022.
She is proceeded in death by her Mother Arleta Cochron, Husband Richard Saam, Brother Stan Cochron.
She is survived by her daughters Debra Watson, Terri Miller, and son David Bottel and her brother Jimmy Cochron. She was lucky enough to enjoy her last days with her Grandkids: Bradley R Watson, Monique M Miller, and Thomas J Miller. Also, her great grandkids Camille Long, Sophie Long, Nicholas Watson, Landon Long, and Gunner Watson. Her great-great grandson Bryson was the newest joy of her life.
A celebration of life to be held at Shell Hall on February 13th at 1:00. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Shell Hall or Shell Fire department.
