David "Pat" O'Conners

David “Pat” O’Conners, 61, of Cowley, Wyoming, passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 22, 2025.

Pat was born May 14, 1964, in Brainerd, MN, the youngest son of David K and Ethel R O’Conners (Stewart)

For the last eight years, Pat shared his life with his beloved partner, Debbie Smith, with whom he built a deep and joyful love with. This relationship brought children and grandchildren, that Pat happily welcomed with open arms and considered his own. Together they created a home filled with laughter, companionship, and unwavering devotion.

Pat was employed at Western Sugar Cooperative in Lovell, Wy. He spoke very highly of Plant management, staff, supervisors, and for the most part his co-workers and was happy to be a part of the team.

Pat spent his life as a hardworking, loyal, and steady presence to all who knew him. His occupational skills varied in several fields: including autobody repair and painting, auto mechanics, and welding. He had extraordinary talent in carpentry, where his memory will forever be preserved in the items he created through his Co-Owned business with his brother Gary L Gruell, known as “Go Kustoms”. He was known for his easy smile, his quick humor, and his gift for making people feel welcome. He enjoyed fishing and riding his bike and did so as much as possible.

His family and friends will forever cherish the memory of his kindness, generosity, and the way he showed up for the people he cared about. He will be remembered as a man of quiet strength, a loyal friend, and someone who loved wholeheartedly.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, brother Terry Dickson, sister Helen Sagr.

He is survived by his partner Debbie Smith, brothers James Gruell Kearney, MO; Gary Gruell Lovell, WY; Raye Gruell Casper, WY, Sisters Linda Bunce Grove OK; Laura Kurtz Evansville, WY along with seven nephews, four nieces, and many cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 4pm at Aud’s Four Corners Bar and Grill in Lovell Wyoming.

A memorial fund has been established in his honor at First Bank of Wyoming, in Lovell, Wyoming for those who wish to contribute to funeral and final expenses.
