Jody Ann McClure (Bischoff), born September 30, 1963, passed away peacefully at her home on January 4, 2026. She will be remembered for her compassion, humor, and unwavering devotion to family, friends, and community.
Jody met her husband, Greg McClure, in 1984, and they married the following year. Together they raised three children—Kody, Dustin (Dusty), and Megan—and Jody's love and encouragement shaped their lives. A mother figure to her brothers as well, she offered guidance and care that deeply influenced her family.
Her nursing career included serving as the school nurse in Lovell (1991–2000), Director of Nursing at New Horizons Care Center (2000–2008), and later worked in the Quality Department at North Big Horn Hospital until her retirement in 2021. Her dedication, kindness, and leadership touched countless students, patients, and colleagues.
Outside of work, Jody loved riding horses, spending time in the mountains, watching Outlander, enjoying family gatherings, and finding "treasures" on QVC. Her wit, warmth, and generous spirit brightened every day.
Jody is preceded in death by her son, Dustin Paul McClure; her mother, JoAnn Franckowiak; her grandparents, Edna and Roy Arnoldus; her grandmother, Helen Tebbs Bischoff; and many other beloved family members.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Greg McClure; her son, Kody McClure; her daughter, Megan McClure (Aaron Monterde); her father, Mack Bischoff (Kelly Bischoff); and her brothers, Ron Bischoff, Jim Franckowiak (Angela Franckowiak), Robert Franckowiak (Tawnya Franckowiak), and Scott Franckowiak (Tonya Franckowiak). She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Funeral services will be held at the LDS church in Lovell on Saturday, January 10th at 10:00 am, followed by burial at Lovell Cemetery. A benefit account has been established in her name at Big Horn Federal under Megan McClure. Flowers can be sent to the LDS church prior to the service.
