Lavonne was born on April 26, 1939, in Huron, South Dakota to Andrew and Agnes Waldner. She died on August 15th, 2023, surrounded by her family. She will be missed dearly by her family and those that knew her. She loved doing yard work and making sure things were looking nice.
She grew up in the Huron area. She married Nels Hein in her late teens and to this union her children Kola and Randy were born. They later divorced.
LaVonne met and married the love of her life in 1978 and in 1979 their daughter Lisa was born. She also gained another son, Mike, from this union. Dean and Lavonne enjoyed riding and raising horses together. They would help friends move cattle to the mountain and brand. She also enjoyed gambling and would take trips to Laughlin, Elko, and Riverton. After Dean’s passing, she enjoyed family gatherings with her children and grandchildren, attending her grandchildren’s activities, and maintaining her home.
Throughout her life, she worked at various jobs. She traveled with Dean and Lisa when he was working road constructions. They were able to spend time all over Wyoming.
She is survived by her son, Randy (Sonja) Hein of Deaver and Mike (Deb) Carroll of Huron, South Dakota, daughters, Kola Hein of Cowley and Lisa Eaton of Powell, sisters, Marilyn Shoultz and Karen Shoultz, and brothers, Bob Waldner and Daryl Waldner. She has seven grandchildren: Amy (Jeff), Cody (Mercedes), Drew, Devon, Abby, Jake, and Luke, five great-grandchildren: Kayla, Gavin, Harmony, Kolarae, and Aralyn, and 2 great great-grandsons: Ryder and Bentley.
The family will have an informal celebration of life on September 2nd, 2023, at 3 pm in Cowley at Lavonne’s home.
