Martha Ellen Crichton

Martha Ellen Crichton was one of five children born to Archie John Crichton and Ellen Lucille (Daniels) Crichton. She was born May 26, 1938, in Basin, Wyoming and passed away January 11, 2024, in Thermopolis, Wyoming.

Martha was known throughout her life to be a lover of word searches, card games, and later in life bingo. She always loved being a part of her nieces’ and nephews’ lives, asking what they were doing and how life was going. “Aunt Marty”, as she was known to family, attended school in Burlington, Wyoming and graduated in 1956. Martha spent all her life, until she was unable to be living on her own, caring for her parents and helping them run the family ranch.

Martha is preceded in death by her father Archie John Crichton, mother Ellen Lucille (Daniels) Crichton, brothers Archie Crichton and Robert Crichton, and sister Peggy (Don) Trinkle.

She is survived by her brother Gerald (Donna) Crichton, Sister-in-law Joanne Crichton, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Martha will be interred at Mountain View Cemetery in Basin Wyoming. The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life for Martha in the spring of 2024 in Burlington, Wyoming.
