Henry Alfred Boyles was born to T. Elmer and May (McCormick) Boyles on February 21, 1928 in Hawarden, Iowa.  He passed away quietly on May 24, 2012 at the age of 84 at the New Horizons Care Center in Lovell, Wyoming.

As a child, Henry enjoyed working on a farm owned by his parents. He was skilled at many things as an adult but most enjoyed owning a service station and working as a mechanic.  He could fix many things and enjoyed doing that as a service to others.

Henry married Alona Arlene Waterman in Hawarden, Iowa on March 28, 1948.  Together they raised 4 children, Sandra (Rejanaul) Pelletier, Lonnie (Denise), Michael, and Julie King.  He had 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Henry was a lifelong member of the National Hunting Association.  His greatest love was spending time in the mountains where he could take in all the beauty it has to offer while fishing and hunting.  Throughout his life, he made many memorable hunting trips to Wyoming and had always desired to move west.  In the mid-1990’s, Henry fulfilled that dream by moving to Lovell, Wyoming to be near the mountains.  He purchased a small house and lived a happy, full life hunting, fixing cars, and driving out to the habitat or up to the mountain to view the wildlife.

Shortly after moving to Lovell, Henry formed a special relationship with his neighbors, Dave and Sharon Phelps, and became a grandpa to their children, Shelby (Jason) Happe, Sierra, and Derek.  Henry appointed himself chauffer for these children and took them to and from school for over 15 years until his illness started in November 2011.  Henry attended many sporting events, school and church programs to watch his “kids” performs.  Henry had a ready smile for any child and loved laughing at the antics of children.

Henry’s life with blessed other special relationships.  Those included his nephew, Darvin (Peggy) Boyles of Idaho Falls, ID and his best friend, hunting, and fishing buddy “Old Baldy” Art Camarena.

Henry lead a simple life but deeply touched those with the fortune to have known him.  Thank you to those who brought him much joy and happiness.  He was truly blessed.
