Leonard Dean Workman, 66, of Casper died Nov. 9, 2019, at the Wyoming Medical Center following a long illness. He was born Sept. 26, 1953, the son of Loran and Wanita (Elton) Workman in Lovell.

Leonard attended school in Lovell and then worked as an electrician all his life. He began his career at his father's electrical company in Lovell. He later worked as a mine electrician in Nevada before moving to Duncan, Ariz., where he worked for Phelps Dodge in the same capacity.

During his time in Arizona, he purchased a farm, where he enjoyed raising horses and being in the southwestern outdoors. After selling the farm, he returned to Wyoming, where he worked with his dad and brothers. He retired in Casper.

Leonard enjoyed the outdoor life and loved hunting, fishing and spending time on Casper Mountain. He was well liked by many and was known as a hard worker and for his great work ethic.

He is survived by his father, Loran (Donna); brothers Loran Gene (Linda), Sam (JoAnn) and Dawayne (Roberta); stepson Robert; the children he helped raise, Eddie and Angel; his longtime companion, Patricia; and one son, Scott.

He was preceded in death by his mother, a brother, Lonny, and a sister, Diane.
